We came across a music video competition at Genero.tv that was just about to hit the deadline. We really liked the song and decided to enter. One day concepting, one day filmning and one day editing lead us to the final. In the end we were chosen as one of two runner-ups, close behind the winner.
“It is so difficult to pick only one winner for each song that I find I have to pick three. One I will call a “winner” and two will be given the title runner-up.” /David Lynch

As our final exam at Blekinge Institute of Technology we decided to make a short film. We built the team and spent the next five months, isolated from reality, making it all happen. It turned out to be an even more challenging and large-scale journey than we could ever imagine. It was the longest film we had ever done, 28 minutes, and we had a very limited budget of $1000 to work with.

Markus Olsson, a digital musician, makes forest influenced music by the name Sprakus. He had a concept for a short promotion video which we liked and really wanted to fulfill. We set out to the forest at complete darkness with nothing more than a portable camera flash.
