Early Me plays pianobased singer/songwriter music. Johan Blomborg and lead singer Thomas Jönsson pitched an interesting concept for the music video and we decided to be part of the project and produce it!
We shot everything during a weekend in Malmö, southern Sweden, in a flat that was made into two separate rooms with the help of set design and some additional work in post. The story is centered around a sad girl and a happy boy, it was our first time ever to work with kids, a new experience and a lot of fun!

We came across a music video competition at Genero.tv that was just about to hit the deadline. We really liked the song and decided to enter. One day concepting, one day filmning and one day editing lead us to the final. In the end we were chosen as one of two runner-ups, close behind the winner.

We shot and edited the whole shebang during two intense days. And our result became the very first entry in the Genero.tv competition. Aimee Allen herself commented on the video with the following line: “LOVING THIS! I absolutely love your work!!”
We ended up as a strong finalist. Here’s what the jury said: “An incredible video that is not only surreal but extremely touching. A man tapped in his own private hell. It perfectly showcases the song.”

Filip Svensson is Björn, the main character in this short.
The script for Björn was based around props and places we had around us, helped keeping the budget minimal. Even if the story changed a lot in the beginning, one idea stuck to the end, Björn getting totally blind.
I guess, working with something very visual, like filmmaking, makes the idea of total blindness especially interesting.
